Our Story

Rhonda’s journey into pet grooming began with a lifelong love for animals and hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds. Over time, she pursued formal training and apprenticeship opportunities to refine her technical skills in clipping, scissoring, bathing, and safe animal handling.

What began as weekend grooming for friends and neighbors grew into a professional practice built on reliability, accessibility, and genuine care. Grooming by Rhonda started as a single-chair operation focused on personalized attention that larger, high-volume shops often cannot provide.

Today, that small-business mindset remains central to everything we do. Each appointment is thoughtfully planned and tailored to the individual dog. Our clients value the combination of technical skill, patience, and clear communication that defines every visit.

Why Grooming Matters — Our Perspective

From our perspective, grooming is preventive care. It helps maintain coat condition, manage shedding, reduce parasite exposure, and support ear, nail, and dental health.

Regular nail trimming prevents painful walking issues. Clean ears reduce infection risks. Proper haircuts help regulate body temperature and minimize matting-related discomfort. Professional grooming also allows early detection of skin abnormalities or health concerns.

Grooming supports emotional well-being as well. Dogs introduced to grooming in a calm, positive way often become more comfortable with veterinarians and caregivers. That is why we focus on supportive puppy introductions and gentle senior care.
